Susie's Words:
Today we woke up early, discussed the daily text at 7:30am, as we have done for the past few days now. We consider it in Spanish, English, and ASL. At 8am, we started our 20 minute walk to the Kingdom Hall where we were going to meet this morning. It was a nice service group today. The ASL congregation La Fuente has so many young brothers and sisters that are always out in service. We recently met a deaf brother that started regular pioneering and is going to his pioneer school in August. Interesting that this brother didn't know any sign language before becoming JW but he has learned ASL. He has been baptized for three years now. You can just see his love for Jehovah and he brothers. Our fellow brothers name is Julio. He says his step dad is very much opposed to him being in the truth and always gives him a hard time, but he always has a smile on his face. In service we found many deaf ladies at home and gave them the Memorial invitation.
Seems like each day we spend in service, just gets better and better. Thanks to Jehovah, we enjoyed today very much.
Danny today went with a different group of brothers and they went by the river. Simon Bolivars is the name of the area they went to.
The pictures he took are amazing, you can see the reflection of the clouds in the water! So beautiful in the picture! But Danny said that when your close its actually dirty nasty water! But he enjoyed it. It was so funny there was a stand with a lady selling bread and brother Isaac told Danny "buy some bread and try it it's good" danny said "I won't get sick?" Haha danny so worried about getting sick and eating off stands in the street but Isaac told him no worries he will be fine. It was bread made with sweet potato, but here they call it pan de batata (i think I spelled it right)
Here papaya is "lechoza"...so we are adapting to the terminology here!
But as a summary Today we preachin in Capotillo and by the river.
In the afternoon a sister came by to see Diane to give her a gift! Even with little money the brothers and sisters here always provide their best to show love and hospitality!
