Circuit Assembly ASL Day 1

What a beautiful assembly! Even though I already had mine I did enjoy having It again! My favorite point is from the last talk, the brother mentioned how some of us may say "oh if I was perfect I could then serve Jehovah the right way" but that is incorrect thinking! Adam and Eve were perfect but they did not fully serve Jehovah! So then what do we need! Love for Jehovah, strong faith, and appreciation! Only then can we serve Jehovah the correct way!
ASL assembly today was just amazing! Today we arrived early with many of our brothers and sisters, deaf and speaking, coming to greet us...so friendly! We made so many friends today! Brothers and sisters from around the world! From all over USA, Italy, Spain, different parts of DR, and of all ages!!!
It was nice to see the ASL assembly with the way they conduct interviews and how many pictures and videos they show! It was so cute, a brother in his talk used a small portion from the movie "Finding Nemo".... In the movie there is a part where all the fish get caught in a net from a fisherman boat. The fish all together start swimming down and within a minute the rope rips and it detaches from the boat and once again all the fish are free! Brother made the point that if we are all following same direction-unity- working together we can make a difference! WOW!!! Such a good analogy!
The song from Nemo "just keep swimming!!" Haha :-)

There is a brother in the pictures I posted for this post, the short brother with the orange tie is a brother used by bethel that is in many ASL videos/DVDs for the ASL meetings! He is Dominican with parents who are both deaf! But that knowledge and experience in ASL make him a great asset to ASL congregations! He lives in New York and what a privilege to have him visiting this assembly and meeting him! His name is Eber! We also got to meet his brother, his brother lives here locally.
We also got to meet many special pioneers from all over DR! This assembly hall is in Santo Domingo and in DR there are only 2 assembly halls. The other one is in Santiago which we will visit later this month.
Assembly today we also had the district overseer do the introduction and ending talks, he is not in ASL so there was a brother on the same stage but on the other side translating for him. But I really liked the DO because on his last talk he spoke the entire time but at the end he said what we need to do as Jehovah's servants and then said "and in sign language..." And then he signed "for us to be forever loyal to Jehovah and let him mold us" wow!!! This brother took the time to learn how to properly sign that phrase! Wow!!!! I appreciated the brother for doing that!!! And I'm sure all deaf did too!
Our friend Toni had his part too! Did the number 3 from the school! He did so well!!!! What a beautiful day! Lets see day two!!!
Oh also today we had over 800 attendance, and today's weather was nice! The assembly has a roof but isn't enclosed. But for the days it gets really hot they turn on the "helicopter fans" they are so big and powerful!
Lunch time!!! Small area to eat but good time with the brothers!
Afterward we helped clean and we cleaned the parking lot by sweeping up all the fallen leaves! What a great day! Day 2 tomorrow!!!
Also as you can see baptism pool is outside!!!
