Well we went to the meeting with San Juan ASL! The congregation participates a lot during the watchtower study. The congregation has 3 elders, 2 servants, and 15 pioneers. The congregation consist of a total of 22 members.
The Kingdom Hall looks very similar to the one in Santo Domingo, but it seems to be a bit larger.
Today during the meeting the power went out but as usual the back up generators took over. It was fine until the generators gave out. In a speaking congregation whether it be in Spanish or English of course you would just read the watchtower louder and comment louder as well. But here in sign language you depend on technology, because we use videos and pictures. Well once all power went out one of the brothers went on stage with his ipad and had to play the watchtower on his ipad and sign at the same time. He was signing exactly what was on the watchtower video in order to be able to continue the study. Of course with no power all the fans turned off and man did it get hot but we opened windows and let the breeze come in. Thanks to Jehovah everything began to work again and meeting resumed to normal. Here they do the same with commenting, we had to walk to the front but we were able to participate.
After meeting Gary and Windee needed to go home but Karen Ariana myself and Jannel the deaf bible student went to eat some empanadas. On our way home we decided to stop in the downtown area! San Juan isn't very big but the scenery is beautiful. I love the city but this small town has so many beautiful flowers!!!
After arriving home and relaxing we did some dancing and man can this 12 year old dance!!!
Karen and I desired ice cream and went out to enjoy the small downtown area again but at night!
